Cat Care
- Trim nails weekly.
- Serve food in small portions.
- Change water every day or so.
- Kittens like a warm bed.
- Clean feeding dishes every day or so (I clean everything in bleach
water, then rinse w/ water).
- Change feeding and litter box every few days.
- For fleas, dip q-tip in alcohol and get out w/ tweezers.
Socialization
- Talk to kitten – baby talk.
- Kittens love to climb legs, sit on lap.
- Rub ears and tummy.
- Give kitten a week to adapt to you.
- In times alone, turn on soft radio.
Medicines To Keep On Hand
- Hydrogen Peroxide.
- Q-tips, cotton balls.
- Neosporin.
- From Vet: Droncit for worms, and Terramycin for sore eyes (foric acid).
Baby Kitten Formula
- 8 oz canned evaporated milk.
- 8 oz pure water.
- 1 egg yoke.
- 1 tsp. Karo corn syrup.
Have kitten neutered or spayed at around six months.
Remember, cats scratch by nature, not misbehavior, and they quickly
learn to use a scratching post.
